Abstract
Hepatoprotective activities of immature Citrus aurantium subsp. nobilis pericarpium and 8 crude druge (Bupleurum falcatum L. var. scorzonerae folium, Curcuma longa, Cyperus rotundus, Ligusticum eallichii, Melia toosendan. Scirpus yagara, Curcuma zedoaria. Rosa rugosa)against the thioacetamide-induced hepatic damage were studied in vitro and in vivo. Results were as follows: 1. Generally, water, methanol and butanol extracts of nine crude dregs had concentration- dependently the hepatoprotective activities in vitro test. As these results and TLC patterns, the biologically active components of these drugs were assertained to be their glycosides respectively. 2. Water, butanol and methanol extracts of immature Citrus aurantium subsp nobilis pericarpium depressed dose-dependently the hepatomegaly and significantly decreased the serum transaminase activities and lipid perozidation. 3. In histological observations, control group exhibits the hepatocellular necrosis and inflammatory cell infiltration around the centrilobular area, but the administration of water, butanol and methanol extracts of immature trilobular area, but the administration of water, butanol and methanol extracts of immature Citrus aurantium subsp, nobilis pericarpium improved do -dependently the pathological changes as compared with control.
